The latest versions of the fire codes from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA for short) greatly affect business owners but particularly small business owner.

The West Alabama chapter of The Red Cross has responded to 17 fires already since the first of December.
Nine of those fires happened within a 5 day span. Red Cross officials say the number of fires during the colder months puts a huge burden on their yearly budget.
